A tiny red Avarca caught my then-toddler’s eye in a shop window in Spain, ten years ago now, and she was instantly smitten.
Once she had them on, she refused to take them off.
She’d finally found some shoes that were comfortable for her.
She was so obsessed (and looked so cute!) that I decided to get a matching pair - and I was hooked too.
They were beautiful. They were comfortable. They were different.
That moment sparked the beginning of Shoeq - our journey to create shoes that feel as good as they look, shoes that are crafted to be lived in and loved.
So Why 'Shoeq'?
From day one, my vision was to create a collection where every style shared the same foundation - comfort you can truly live in.
I wanted to build a place where you could find every kind of shoe made with those same values - a Shoe Souq, if you will - as a nod to our Arabian home.
The name Shoeq was born from that idea: Shoes + Souq = Shoeq - a place where authentic craftsmanship meets timeless comfort.

I’ve been manifesting a Mary Jane flat by Shoeq and now it’s a reality! These are so comfortable and perfect for work as I’m on my feet for most of the day. I have severe arthritis in my toe and I find these supportive yet soft in all the right places - it can be hard to find stylish shoes that don’t aggravate my arthritis so I’m over the moon with these. I’m going to have to get the ones in Latte now 😬
