The Classic Avarca in Galaxy Glitter is a timeless everyday essential, handcrafted from premium leather that moulds to your feet with time and wear. The all-leather innersole provides natural breathability, while the flexible recycled rubber sole is lightweight and designed to mimic the movement of bare feet.
These Menorcan sandals are crafted in a workshop originally founded in 1947, where shoe artisans have been lovingly crafting Avarcas for nearly eight decades. Originally designed for farmers to withstand the island’s summer heat and rugged terrain, the Avarca style became popular everyday footwear in the 1960s before gaining international recognition.
Today, each pair of Shoeq Classic Avarcas is still produced by hand by skilled shoe artisans in small workshops on the island. These techniques have been handed down from family to family, generation to generation.
Every pair carries the official “Avarca de Menorca” government guarantee seal, certifying authentic Menorcan origin and traditional production methods.
